Daily Report: Cultural Studies

Today Ken and DJ took it upon themselves to research the flag of Israel.

They used our beloved Flags of the World reference book.

To make the Star of David they used the triangle metal inset.

We have had a lot of fun playing KOSHERLAND- A Beginner's Game For A Jewish Child.

I found this game at World Market for just $9.00.

The board is jammed packed with information to learn more about the Jewish culture in a very fun way.

To play you spin the spinner and move your playing piece to the color your spin landed on. The goal is to be the first one to make it to the last purple space on the board(home).  To help you understand what blessing to say according to the space you land on, they have included the blessings in the instructions on the box.
This really enticed my language loving Michelle to want to play.

The game for us only took about twenty minutes to play, but they have been playing many rounds and learning a lot about the Jewish culture.

Can you tell who won this round?
